Coexistence with the Earth, and the Grand Cycle of Nature
On March 30, 2026, a special 5th-anniversary fashion show for “Sumizome Artisan Miyuki -miyuki-” was held at the Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art, one of Japan’s most prestigious cultural venues. From this extraordinary stage structured around seven unique stories, we are pleased to introduce the special pieces that weave together the beautiful harmony of our world.
What the 【瑠璃 -ruri-】 team portrays is “Coexistence with the Earth” and the “Grand Cycle of Nature.”
The deep, clear color of “Ruri” (lapis lazuli) reflects this world where everything—the earth, the sky, and the sea—is interconnected. If the previous chapter, “Roots,” represents the beginning of life dwelling within the earth, then “Ruri” is the very embodiment of that life circulating and expanding infinitely.
The Beauty of Living in Resonance and Harmony
The world we live in is sustained by countless lives supporting one another invisibly and living in perfect harmony. We superimposed this beautiful providence of Mother Nature onto the one-of-a-kind gradients woven by the colors of Sumi ink and Ruri, expressing it with an overwhelming sense of scale.
