【Phnom Penh】International Debut Confirmed on the Occasion of the 70th Anniversary Commemoration
We are honored to announce our brand’s participation in the “International Cultural Exchange Festival 2025 in Cambodia.” This event is a significant international cultural exchange initiative commemorating the 70th anniversary of the establishment of friendly relations between Japan and Cambodia.
- Event Date: Sunday, November 30, 2025
- Venue: Hyatt Regency Hotel, Phnom Penh, Cambodia
Elevation of Traditional Techniques: Bringing Sumizome to the World
For our brand, this participation marks our first opportunity to debut internationally. We position this as the initial step in our global expansion, showcasing the traditional Japanese dyeing technique of “sumizome” on an international runway.
At the runway show, we will present a collection that blends Japanese and Cambodian cultures in the following structure:
- Presentation of an original collection featuring sumizome garments.
- We’ll also be walking the runway in the traditional Cambodian national costume, the “Kuban.”
We extend our deepest gratitude to the eight models who will embody the brand’s aesthetic, and to all the stakeholders supporting this vital endeavor.
As a Cultural Diplomacy Team: Luxury and Social Contribution
During the event period, participants will engage in diplomatic exchange through luxurious social occasions, including gala parties, celebrations, and stays at four-star hotels.
Furthermore, as a member of the cultural diplomacy team, I am scheduled to participate in the following meaningful activities:
- Courtesy Visit to the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia.
- Social contribution through volunteer activities at local orphanages.
I am deeply privileged to be involved in this level of international cultural exchange and to have this rare opportunity for social contribution on a global stage.
Acknowledgments to Organizers and Supporting Parties
I would like to take this opportunity to express my profound gratitude to Mr. Tajima (Organizer) for providing this project opportunity, to Ms. Chiho (Connection Facilitator) for establishing the connection, and to Ms. Iimure (Support Team) for her tremendous support.
