A polished and impressive performance
On November 24, 2024, we cooperated in the costume for “KIMONO RUNWAY COLLECTION vol.3,” an event certified by the Kansai Expo/Kyoto Prefecture Promotion Committee, held at the Rihga Royal Hotel Kyoto.
We were honored to have Mao Ohnagi, former male star of Takarazuka Revue Company, perform solo in sumizome costume. We believe that the audience was able to enjoy the sophisticated world of beauty woven by the powerful performance and sumizome costumes.
The performance was streamed live on YouTube for many people to watch.
The performance was based on the musical “The Greatest Showman” and consisted of the following three parts
Act I: Walking performance by top walking performer Yumishi
Act II: Solo dance performance by Mao Onagi, former male star of Takarazuka Revue
Act III: Review directed by Mao Onagi, former male star of Takarazuka Revue
The performance by the Takarazuka Revue OGs, the pinnacle of the entertainment industry, left the audience mesmerized and moved.
The “KIMONO RUNWAY COLLECTION vol. 3” ended with a great success. The grand finale was truly a sight to behold, with more than 20 people from the performance teams dancing and walking in sumi-style costumes.
Mao Ohnagi’s solo performance brought tears to my eyes. It was a moment when all the hard work we have done so far was rewarded, and I felt heartfelt joy.
I would also like to thank all the performers and guests who were involved in this event from the bottom of my heart.
